On March 18, the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued the national standard "Food Glycemic Index Measurement and Labeling Specification" for public comments, and the feedback ended on April 17. The introduction of the standard aims to establish a unified, scientific and rigorous food GI determination and labeling system, which is a milestone in standardizing market publicity, guiding the healthy development of the industry, and assisting consumers to make healthier choices.
